Carbon Reduction Plan for GreenLight 🌱

1. Introduction: 

GreenLight is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and fostering sustainability across all operations. This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines comprehensive strategies to achieve significant reductions in carbon emissions while promoting a culture of environmental responsibility. 🌍


2. Assessment and Baseline Establishment:

– Conduct a thorough assessment of current carbon emissions across all operations, including energy usage, transportation, waste generation, and resource consumption. 📊

– Establish a baseline for carbon emissions using data on total carbon footprint and average carbon intensity per employee. See below our Scope 1 & 2 baselines. 📈


 

3. Goal Setting and Targets for each business unit:

i. Fit Out

– Focus on more sustainable development by utilizing materials with minimal life cycle impact, minimizing water demand, and maximizing reuse on-site, effective waste management systems, energy-efficient strategies with renewable technologies for reduced grid demand and EV development, and many more. 🏗️♻️

– The LCA (life cycle assessment) of our projects will be integrated with our management systems to measure performance in real time on our project dashboards. 📉

ii. Facility Management

– Integrate Energy Management into all our dashboards to measure key metrics as we focus on compliance of assets, together with compliance of our sustainability goals for our clients. 💼

– Continue to offer energy-saving technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of the estates. 💡

iii. Renewable Energy

– Continue the rapid deployment of renewable energy assets to provide more clean energy generation with a clear goal of achieving the net-zero outcome and a planet with a truly sustainable energy network. ☀️🍃

– Develop Solar PV together with Agrivoltaics to maximize the outcome for the energy transition, utilizing and contributing to energy & food security. 🌱🌞


4. Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Adoption:

– Invest in Solar PV at the head office to generate more electricity than consumed, achieving net-zero electricity consumption. ☀️

– Transition all company vehicles to electric vehicles to eliminate emissions from transportation. 🚗⚡

– Implement energy efficiency measures across facilities, including HVAC optimization, lighting upgrades, and equipment efficiency improvements. 💡

– Explore opportunities for on-site renewable energy generation to further reduce reliance on grid electricity. 🔄
